Strawberry Cambridge Favourite is one of the most popular British strawberry varieties, known for its resilience and versatility. This mid-season plant thrives just as well in a patio pot as it does in a vegetable patch, making it ideal for small spaces. From June to July, it yields an impressive crop of sweet, juicy fruits that are perfect for jams, desserts, or freezing for later use. With strong disease resistance and easy pest protection using a homemade garlic spray, this low-maintenance plant is suitable for both beginner and experienced gardeners. It grows to a mature height of around 30cm.

Growing Tips!

Take some precaution to deter slugs as they will love to attack your strawberry plants (for example use slug pellets). They will continue to provide fruit for three to four years following planting.  Strawberries require planting in rich soil and in a sunny position, planting in rows. Plant 30cm deep and around 45cm apart, leaving 60cm between each row. If planting in containers plant five-six plants in each pot and water daily during the growing season and regularly feed.
